Well, the German’s got busy over the weekend and came in this morning ready to buy. According to Automotive News, VW is going to raise its stake in the Swedish truckmaker Scania to 68.6 percent. This move would most likely merge Scania and the German truckmaker MAN, which MAN owns 15.6 percent of Scania.

The supervisory board of Porsche AG has given the approval to take a majority stake in Volkswagen AG, which they already hold 31 percent. Porsche said that this doesn’t mean their will be a merger in the future, just means Porsche wants 51 percent of VW and has $20 billion they need to spend.
