Automotive Family Tree

Welcome to the “Family Tree” style diagram of who owns who (or is it whom) in the automotive world. This is how the diagram works: For each major automotive owner, pick anywhere in the square for an enlarged picture. This picture will better show how each automotive group interacts with each other. Once the enlarged picture is up, follow the arrows. The arrow will point back to the main owner. Example: Ferrari icon has a line drawn to FIAT with an arrow pointing to FIAT. FIAT is the owner of Ferrari. Or simply put, the arrow points back to the “Mother Ship”. If an automotive group owns a percentage, the arrows point the automotive group they own. Example: GM icon shows a line to FIAT and along the line it shows 10% with an arrow pointing to FIAT. Say it like this, “ GM (the first icon) owns 10% (the number along the line) of FIAT (arrow point to)”. Just follow the arrow. The filled squares represent a joint venture, license agreement or other types of agreements between two companies.

*Note: Finalize of TATA/Jag/LR should be done in a few months, I'll update diagrams as soon as I get confired info. Diagram as been updated 4/01/08.

If you find a mistake, please feel free to email me with the link of the update.
