The ban has been lifted and everyone has written their review on the new 2010 Chevy Camaro SS. Now I could also write a review, but just Google 2010 Camaro SS review and pick one. What I want to do is put this thought in everyone’s mind: The beginning price of the 2010 Camaro is $30,995 for 426 HP (in a manual) and 400 HP (in an auto) and 20″ wheels. To compare that to the new 2010 updated Ford Mustang GT Premium at $30,995 with 315 HP with a 5-speed manual (Camaro comes with a 6-speed manual and Auto). I know some are saying, what about the Mustang GT500. Well, what about it? Sure it has more HP at 510, but its base price is $46,325 if you could find a dealer willing to sell it to you at MSRP. I also should point out the SS gets 16/25 mpg for the 400 HP Auto and 16/24 for the 426 HP. Which seems a tick worse then the Mustangs 18/26 mpg for 315 HP but for another 100+HP…
Did I happen to mention what a bargain the 2010 Chevy Camaro LS is? For the base price $22,995 you get 304 HP, 18” wheels and get 18/29 MPG! That’s close to the Mustang GT V8 HP numbers and gets better gas mileage!
I know things for the Big Three isn’t looking good, but I think the new Camaro is what the General needed to keep alive!
