Recently I happen to catch the movie “Gator” starring Burt Reynolds, Lauren Hutton and a early 70’s Ford LTD. Movie review to the side, it was the car that grabbed my attention (okay, Lauren also, but stick with the story). What was interesting was the sounds of the large 4-door sedan car, it was actually shifting gears (yes, I know it was an automatic and it was the sound guy, but stay with me). It made me think about today’s large Fords, like a Police Interceptor Crown Vic. I’ve always wonder what it would take to put a manual transmission into a large car. Well, I guess I wasn’t the only one. dRock figured out how to put a 5-speed tranny from a Mustang GT into a Crown Vic.
Way to go dRock! My dream my come true now that I’ve got somewhat of a guideline on how to do this. My wife will most likely kill me, but I think it will be worth it!
