At what point do you say you can’t do it? Well, for Cha, a South Korean woman from the southwestern city of Jeonju, 771 failures isn’t the number. Since 2005, the 68 year-old is still trying to pass her written test. You may think South Korea has the hardest test that takes a degree in Physics to pass. But actually you only need 60% and Cha lands somewhere between 30-50% ranges. Plus each test isn’t free, it’s about 6,000 won, or about $4.69. At 771 failures, she’s spent about $3,600!
I’m glad she keeps going back and I’m also happy to see that South Korea just doesn’t let them pass after taking the test a few times. I’m beginning to wonder if that is how some people around here get there drivers license. Because there is no way they could have passed the written part after seeing some of the driving behavior I see on a daily basis.
