Ford, Please Bring Some Excitement!!!

When will Ford listen to what people are saying? Look at the current Ford lineup: Crown Victoria (when was the last time it was updated? 1990?) Five Hundred/Taurus (have you looked inside? Is there a difference between this and the cheaper Fusion?), Focus (how could something be small and sporty be so boring?), Fusion (what’s the point of this car?), Mustang (okay, I do like this one), and then there is the cross-over, Edge/Flex/Freestyle that I’m not going to talk about. I look at the list of Ford cars and I found one that I might take. So, what’s my point? I say bring what you have in other country’s here to the States.

I know they are going to bring Ford Fiesta, but that’s not enough. The Euro Focus has a sporty look and a turbo charged 5-banger that has over 200 hp and 230 ft-lbs of torque. Plus the inside is very clean and sharp looking. Then there is the Ford Falcon XR from down-under. I just love the front of the car and the inside has some good looking gauges. Plus who could argue against putting the 5.4-liter V8 (rated at 388 hp and torque) with a six-speed manual in a RWD sedan? Seems to be working for the BMW 3! And then there is my favorite large Ford, Ford Mondeo. Just look at the dash, how could you not like it? It’s the car that James Bond drove!

Someone needs to tell Ford to kill the Crown Vic and bring the Mondeo. Kill the Taurus and bring over the Falcon. Let loose of the boring Focus and bring over the Euro spec Focus. I think if Ford would do that, they would see a turnaround in car sales, fast!!
