Porsche To Use 4-Cylinder in Future 2009

First we heard something from Mercedes-Benz and BMW, now its Porsche turn. Word is the new Porsche 911 will have a 6-cylinder engine, but is designed to downsized to 4-cylinder if needed. Porsche is looking at the possibility of bring the 4-bangers in order to increase its overall fuel-economy in its lineup.

Look for Porsche to put a 2.4 liter 4-cylinder in 911 and I’m sure the Boxster in its next redesign.
