I know there are other rental car companies that specialize in renting exotic cars from Ferraris to Jags and even Corvettes. So I guess Avis has decided to span out there portfolio to now include “Cool Car” specialty. Among the cool cars are Cadillac CTS and STS, Hummer H3 and now a Chevrolet Corvette. You can even get a Ford Mustang Coupe, Pontiac Solstice, Toyota FJ Cruiser, Nissan 350Z (and Convertible), Infiniti FX35 and a Saab Convertible. They even rent to the “green people” with the Toyota Prius, Nissan Altima Hybrid and Ford Escape Hybrid.
Just to show you I’m not selling Avis, Hertz also offers Corvettes and Shelby GTH. Avis has what’s it calls “Fun Collection” which offers Hummer H3, Jeep Wrangler, Mustang Convertible and Corvettes. Like Avis, they have a “Green Collection” with a Toyota Prius, Ford Fusion and Toyota Corolla. But what I really like is the “Prestige Collection” which has Volvo S80, XC90 and V70 XC, Infiniti M35, H2, Audi A6 Quattro, Q7, A4 and A4 Cabriolet.
Wonder if my work will let me rent a ‘Vette or an Audi the next time I’m out? Let me see…rent a car the next time I’m in Phoenix, from Monday to Friday, pick the Audi A6 Quattro…hey that’s only $109.99/day. That’s not bad…hmmm
