From the Geneva Motor Show, comes this unique concept from Renault, the next generation Megane Coupe concept. This car doesn’t have gullwing doors, that’s so yesterday, darling. Enter Dragonfly doors. The concept has a trick two-piece hinged door. The lower door and the upper window section split apart, as the door opens in a movement as graceful as a dragonfly in flight, says Renault. (Ahhh..)
Fancy doors apart, this concept previews the styling of the next-generation Megane, due to arrive towards the end of the year in Europe. Granted, we don’t get Renault here in the states, but with the alliance with Nissan, we do get the current generation Megane as the Nissan Versa. So we might see a version of this with Nissan in the future… but I don’t think the dragon-fly doors will make it into production…damn-it.
