For those purist out there wanting a manual transmission (we know who you are Risdo) in the new Challenger SRT, good news could come next week. According to Autoweek, at the New York auto show next week, it will be announced that the tire-abusing 430 hp, 420 lb-ft torque Challenger SRT will come with a six-speed manual gearbox in 2009. It is the Tremec 6060, which is a modified version of the same 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10. Also look for a 3.6-liter V6 to be offered in 2009. More info will be coming out next week at the New York Auto Show.
