If you thought the Toyota Yaris was too big and was looking at the Smart Fortwo, STOP! Toyota revealed the 2009 Toyota iQ at the Geneva Motor Show. The iQ is called a 3+1, meaning it’s capable of carrying up to three adults along with a child or luggage in comfort. I’m assuming they’re talking about well fit adults, not large American’s? Then it would be 2+1. If you’re wondering, the wheelbase is all of 79 inches and is expected to be powered by a 1.8 liter unit developed in partnership with Yamaha. Manufacturing starts late 2008 with a global sales target of 100,000 for the first year.
Good luck! I’m not seeing being a big seller in the US…but nothing says they are going to sell in the US…yet…
