The North America International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit for 2009 opened this weekend. I’ll bring you news and concept that are interesting. Like the Volkswagen Concept BlueSport. To me it looks a Porsche Boxster with the new corporate VW frontend. And it could be a cheap alterative to the Boxster. Like in the Audi TT TDI, the world’s first diesel sports car, the BlueSport will use a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel with 178 bhp and 258 lb-ft of butt happy torque. This should be 0-62 in about 6.6 seconds through the 6-speed DSG dual clutch transmission and get 42 mpg!
VW hasn’t confirmed it will make production yet, but judging by the concept, I’d say it’s really to roll out to the showroom floor for 2010.
