Look, in the sky, a silver lining! With all the news about how all the auto manufacturer’s sales are down, it seems that Audi didn’t get the message. Audi is reporting that is sold over one million cars in a 12 month period for the first time. The total cars sold by Audi in 2008 are 1,003,400 worldwide, an increase in 4.1%. Audi says that it has accomplish this feat because of the launch of 12 new or upgraded models, including the new A4 sedan and upgrades of the A3 and A6, along with a new Q5. The growth from Europe and Asia-Pacific region helped overcome the sales in the U.S., which had a 6.1% drop from the prior year and the third-largest export market for Audi.
Audi is setting its next target at 1.5 million sales by 2015. Good Luck!
