Looks like another connection change to the Automotive Family Tree. Beijing Automotive Industry Holdings Co. Ltd (BAIC) will buy Saab 9-3 and current 9-5, along with powertrain technology and tooling from GM. BAIC paid a reported $197 million to the intellectual property rights and equipments to make the 9-3 and 9-5 sedans.
A source reported that is enough to keep Saab running for three months. GM is also working with Spyker to buy Saab.
