Bargain price Ferrari coming in October

So, $190,000 just a little above your budget for a new Ferrari F430? Don’t worry, when October rolls around, look for an entry-level Ferrari 2+2. Codename F149, look for this to share some components with the current Maserati GranTurismo. So, it will be a front engine, 4.3-liter V8, 2+2 configuration. However, I’m sure Ferrari will make it its own gearbox, direct injection and I’m sure a few other toys. There is even talk of a folding steel hardtop convertible, a first for Ferrari. The F149 will likely increase Ferrari’s volume from 6,000 to 10,000 units per year. Ferrari is planning on unveiling the car at the Paris Motor Show in October.

No word yet on price, but if a Maserati GT goes for about $110,000 and a Ferrari F430 goes for $190,000, I’m betting starting price around $140,000 to $160,000. Who would have thought Ferrari would come out with a bargain car???
