Well, this is different! Nissan and Chrysler have come up with a product sharing alliance. Chrysler will begin building pickup trucks for Nissan and Nissan will produce subcompact cars for Chrysler.
The agreement states that Nissan will discontinue building the Titan pickup in 2011, when Chrysler begins production of the Nissan trucks. On the flip side, Chrysler will get a compact car on a new platform from Nissan that will arrive in North America and Europe in 2010.
The two companies in January announced that Nissan would supply Chrysler with a Versa-based sedan for sale in South America starting next year (because the current Sebring is a piece of sh…wait did I say that out loud?)
