Italian Industry Minister approved Fiat bid for Carrozzeria Bertone for 150 million Euros over three years. Bertone founded in 1912, is Italy’s oldest contract manufacture and has recently been producing models ranging from Lamborghini Miura to VW Polo. Fiat is interested in the Turin plant for niche vehicles. Fiat hasn’t which niche models, only that the vehicles would be sold in Europe and North America.
