
Last week it was announced that Italian state police received a customized Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4. Here in the States, Itasca, Ill. police picked up their Subaru WRX STi cop crosier. The Scooby is on loan from Subaru of America for one year. The hatchback will help law enforcement curb street-racing and be used for vehicle-safety demonstrations. The lucky Officers take the STi to car shows and cruise nights, where they can talk one-on-one with the younger crowd.
The Subaru WRX STi cop cruiser is equip with a roof-mounted LED light bar and LED hood scoop. The graphics are to commemorate the 2008 Illinois Special Olympics. An annual marathon called Law Enforcement Torch Run help raise donations for Special Olympics. The Officers have given out citations and warning from the 305-hp turbocharged STi.
Makes you wonder what kind of gas mileage they are getting?
