VW to Pass GM as No. 2

Automotive News is reporting that VW will overtake GM as world’s No. 2. According to market research company R.L. Polk Germany, world’s production of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles is forecasted to fall 19 percent. GM is expected sales to be down 31 percent while VW is only expected 15% slide is sales. No timeline was given, but if nothing changes, GM will fall to number 3 in production volume sometime this year.
